The Kickscout Team
It has only been a day since launching our public beta of Kickscout and we are already on the way to achieving our goal for the launch. Our goal is to simply get lots of feedback from users.
Below is some of the feedback we have got just in the first day. Please sign-up and continue to let us know what you think. Future enhancements of the product will be based on the feedback you provide.
How do I give feedback? Tell us your thoughts on our Facebook fan page at https://www.facebook.com/Kickscout or email us at email@example.com.
Feeback from a writer
“Attention indie booksellers — an app that’s the opposite of Amazon”
Feedback from a mom
“This is definitely something I could use. As a mom of teens, I often snap pics of stuff and send them to my guys before buying it.
With your app, they could do the reverse. Send me a pic, I approve it & buy it for them”
Feedback from a teacher (my favorite)
“You should put in something around buying school supplies. Teachers often buy in bulk or want matching supplies for a team and could use it. We are always emailing each other when a big sale goes down on common items. Also parents of kids in the same grade often have identical lists and could help each other out when they stumble on a great deal.”
“ I have parents that are always asking what they can do. I feel guilty asking them to go out shopping for stuff when I know they are really busy, so I pay for it or it always falls to the same parents who are more available. This way I could see something I need, email parents and see if anyone wanted to “donate” it to the classroom. Many of my work 70+ hours a week parents are always on their email and then could help.”
Feedback about the peer-to-peer payments aspect
“Hmm. Couldn’t you accomplish the same thing with Facebook?” but then after learning more, followed up with “Payments certainly change things up. Look forward to seeing where you go with it.”
Critical feedback is also important to hear
“the only legit use case I can think of for this is when you send your boyfriend to the store to buy tampons for you.”
“More ways to milk your friends and family? There’s an app for that! … just me finding this douchy?”
Today we are launching Kickscout Beta. This launch includes our Android app, iPhone app, our website, and mobile site at kickscout.com.
What is Kickscout? Kickscout is a fun way to shop for your friends, family, and co-workers & get paid. Our vision is to better connect you, the shopper, with the needs and wants of your friends and family.
How does it work? Snap a picture of a product with your phone and post it to Kickscout. Share it with your friends and family and they can pay you right through the app to buy it for them.
What else can I do with Kickscout? Find interesting products & cool deals, list wedding registry gifts, take coffee or lunch orders for the office, or use it to ask a parent to buy items you find at the mall.
Here are a few screenshots of the app.
How do I sign up? It’s free. Android users can download the app from Google Play here, and
iPhone users will have it available in the app store soon. Until then, you can get it through TestFlight at here.
How do I give feedback? We want to continue to make Kickscout even better. Tell us your thoughts on our Facebook fan page at https://www.facebook.com/Kickscout or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We had a lot of fun creating Kickscout ,and we hope you like it too.
